Nativity Bear

Recently my husband and I made a trip to Hobby Lobby to look for Christmas decorations. While browsing around I took Little miss over to the singing animals to play.  After listening to a couple of singing dogs I saw a big fluffy bear, so we took him off the shelf to see what he would do. I was very very surprised. I pushed his hand and low and behold he started telling the Christmas story. He tells the whole story is a cute little bear voice. The story last for a couple minutes, which really surprised me. I couldn’t resist, I had to buy him.

I am very glad I did. Little Miss loves hugging and chewing on him while he tells her the story of Jesus’ birth.  I want her growing up knowing and loving the lord. This bear is a very precious gift to her that I hope she cherishes and possibly passes down to her children.

I would definitely recommend any Christian parent pick this Nativity bear up at their local Hobby Lobby this holiday season.

Thankful

This year I have so much to be thankful for. I do not even deserve all that God has given to me. I am beyond blessed and honestly couldn't ask for more.

This year I was given my beautiful daughter. She is the light of my life. I can just stare at her forever. The love I have for her is a love I have never experienced before. I love her with every ounce of my body. She is the best gift I have ever gotten and during this holiday season I can't help but be grateful.

I also and very thankful to have had my one year wedding anniversary with my husband this year. We have been together for 7 years, but married one. It has been such a great year together. We have grown up so much, and learned so much about each other and life in general. He makes the best husband and daddy anyone could ask for.

I thank god for everything I have this holiday season.

Maybelline Baby Lips & Lots of Lash Giveaway!- CLOSED

I was recently given the chance from Bzz agent to try and review Maybelline Baby Lips & Lots of Lash mascara. I was thrilled for this opportunity, because I love mascara and have been wanting to try a new type but was unsure of which to purchase.

Being a new mom, it is hard to find time to actually do myself up like I used to. Most of the time I just throw my hair in a pony tail before leaving the house and never even fool with makeup anymore. With the Maybelline Lots of Lash Mascara, I can just brush it on before leaving and it looks as if I actually took time on myself. The mascara goes on smooth and leaves no clumps, so it takes no time to try to get the clumps out like I used to have to do. The brush is a unique shape and makes for ease in reaching every lash. The coverage it gives is fabulous. I love the look it gives.

The Baby Lips lip gloss is also great! The first one I tried was the quenched flavor. I don't wear color on my lips so this was perfect. It had a fantastic taste, and went on so smooth. My lips felt great. They are available for a great price at most retail stores. I was amazed when I realized it was offered at such an incredible price of 2.97 at Wal-Mart.. Finding a gloss for my lips has been one of my struggles, because I don't like color, and I do not like to pay a fortune.

I would recommend both of these products to any busy mom like myself. They are great enhancers for someone in a hurry, or even someone who had the time to take on themselves.

SC Johnson review from last spring

We all associate Spring with cleaning. I have been look forward to this (dreading this) for quite sometime now. Just when I think I have the motivation to begin my procrastion sets in and I once again put it off. Well thanks to Bzz Agent/ SC Johnson I finally got a kick in the butt to start. I was lucky enough to recieve this kit to use and review.

My husband was equally as excited knowing that it would give me the boost I very much needed.

The first product was the Glade candle called Sparkle of Spring.

I had previously purchased the pink version of this. I was very happy with that one so I was excited when I saw this was included in the box of goodies. I use these in my office. The office is a rather msall room so the candle really gives it a fresh scent. i started out with it in the living room, but the room was too big for the smell to be as prominent as I would like so I moved it to the office and was very pleased. I usually light it when I am at the computer and it will stay lite for an hour or so and it keeps the room smelling fresh long after. I would definitly reccomed these if you enjoy candles and have a small area to freshen up.

The next item was the Scrubbing Bubbles Toilet Cleaning Gel.
I must tell you ... I am now in LOVE with this product. I had been trying to find a quality toilet cleaning product since we purchased our home and have been really disappointed with everything I have tried so far. This kit is abosolutly AMAZING. This is by no mean an understatement. It keeps the rings off the toilet the whole time it is applied, AND it keeps the entire bathroom smelling so clean. My husband even made a comment on the fresh smell it gave the bathroom. I will definitly be purchasing more of these when I run out. It is definitly a must have.

I also got the Scrubbing Bubbles foam shower cleaner.

Unfortuatly with the type of surround we have on our shower I can not use this cleaner. I did however give it to my gramdma and she says it works very well and she would purchase it again.

The next item in the box was the Crisp waters glade plugin refill.

I was lucky enough to already have a plugin on hand because I had purchased one of these before. Once again these are not good for large areas, however I love to use them in my hallway. They really freshen it up and give it a good strong smell.

Lastly I recieved Pledge Lemon Shine.
I was very excited to recieve this, because I have always been a pledge user and my supply was running low. I absolutly love the lemony smell it puts off and the shine it gives my tables. This is also a must have product. It will always be a staple in my house, as it was when I was growing up.

Sc Johnson's products are all quality products. I have been happy with every product I have recieved from them and highly reccommend them for your spring cleaning needs.

God Gave us You

As a mom to be I am already on the prowl for good children's books for little miss Heidy. I have found it rather difficult to find good quality children's books, especially christian children's books. I want more than anything for my daughter to grow up knowing and loving the lord, so I want to help the process in every way possible.

I recently was given the awesome opportunity to review the book God Gave Us You by Lisa Tawn Bergren.

God Gave Us You is a story about a young polar bear cub who ask hes mother the dreaded question: "Mama, where did I come from?" The mother bear answers graciously and honestly, "From God." She goes on to explain to the young cub how she and Papa had wanted a baby. She tells how the cub grew inside of her. She talks with the cub about the entire pregnancy. She talks of the happiness her and Papa shared waiting on the cubs arrival. She answers many of the cubs questions with, "because God gave us you."

I was totally taken over the part in the story where Mama tells how she prayed for her unborn cub each night. She prayed for her health, but most of all she prayed that someday the cub would love God.

This will definitely be a story that gets read in our household many nights.I love feeling the connection between us when I talk and read with her, even though she is still little she loves being read to.
I would recommend this book to anyone expecting or who already has small children. It is a perfect bedtime story. One that will be cherished in our house for many years to come
