Wordless Wednesday : Turkey girl

I just have to share Little Miss's Thanksgiving outfit. We got it at Cracker Barrel and I just LOVED it.

I'm also pretty fond of the munchkin wearing it ;)

Party Fun

On Saturday we had a really good time at my sister in laws birthday get together. There was a lot of food and sweets (Little Miss was in heaven!) We also had a blast playing catch phrase. Every time that game comes out it always turns into an hour of cracking up.

Here is Little Miss enjoying a chocolate sucker. She had WAY too many sweets, but she had a blast. She was a little ham all night and loved being the center of attention.

My sister-in-law just turned 16. She is such a good kid. I am grateful to have her as my sister :) She acts WAY older than 16 so she always wants to hang out with me. I don't mind, I really enjoy her company.

We had a really good time and can not wait for Thanksgiving for some more family fun.

November Misc

I can not believe how fast this month is going! Thanksgiving on THURSDAY?!?! I thought I had at least two more weeks. That means Christmas is quickly approaching and I have hardly even started the shopping game yet.

We have been staying very busy around here this month. We have been doing story time at our library, and Little Miss gets so excited to go. I love seeing her interact with other little ones. While we are there she acts so independent, which is a big change for her. It makes me happy and sad all at the same time.

She has taken a new love for dressing up. I have always dolled her up since she was born, but now she wont leave the house without bringing me all her hair stuff. She loves wearing necklaces and putting lotion on. She is so fun! I love that she is so girly. :)
She also loves wearing my shoes and her Daddy's shirts. She gets so proud of herself when we let her play with them.

We have a busy week ahead of us. We have my sister in laws birthday dinner tonight, Thanksgiving dinner at church tomorrow, story time, and prepping for our many dinners Thursday. I can not wait to be a pig :) I'm sure Little Miss will be excited about the food and attention as well.

Chicken Pox!

Ever since Little Miss was born I have stressed over her one year shots. The MMR scared me and I was unsure if the chicken pox vaccine was necessary. After much discussion with the husband, and research online, we decided to delay the shots until 14 months and go ahead with the chicken pox vaccine per the husbands wishes.

Now, a week after getting the shots we have CHICKEN POX! Oh the joy. Yes, it is a mild case, but would I have gotten her the shot if I knew this might happen?! NO!

This was yesterday when the bumps started showing up. They are pretty concentrated on her arm, neck, and a few on her legs. She has been in good spirits and does not act like she does not feel well. She is a little more tired than usual, but other than that she is doing great.

We decided to opt out of the flu shot for her, so I hope we made the right choice.

Fabulous Weekend

We had a really GREAT weekend. It has been a while since we had a jammed packed weekend and had such a good time.

On Friday night we stayed in as a family and watched TV and just cuddled. These are seriously the moments I live for. We recently subscribed to Hulu Plus and we seem to really enjoy it. It is nice to be able to watch current shows. We love Netflix because it has great content for little miss, but we were kind of getting bogged down with the adult selection. We opted out of cable about a year ago and have been pretty happy with the selection on Netflix, but we were just ready for more.

Saturday, I took Little Miss trick or treating with her cousin at their campground. She had a BLAST. She walked up to every kid she saw to wave and say hi. I could barely keep up with the little munchkin. She got a bag full of candy and was ready to come home and eat it with daddy. She would grab a piece and make him open it so she could try it, just to grab another. She is such a junk food junkie already... NOT GOOD!

Sunday we had a great church service which saw 1 person saved, and 1 person requesting to join the church. Just awesome! We have  such a great pastor now. We have been in such a slump for such a long time it is great to finally have him. After the service we had a big pitch in dinner. My favorite place to eat is a pitch in dinner! Such a selection and such good food.

Now its Monday and back to laundry and mopping floors. :) Hope to have just as good of a weekend next week.

Wordless Wednesday: She's a Beauty.

I may be a bit biased but I think my baby is the most beautiful baby in the world :)

I just love this picture of her. She is getting so big!

Show And Tell: If....

This week I am linking up with a great lady  From Mrs. To Mama.

Here we go:

1)If you could relive any memory in your life, tell us what it would be, and what/if anything you
would change about it?
It would definitely be the birth of my daughter. I did not have a good labor. I was at 10 cm and pushing for 3 hours before I even had a doctor come to assist. At that point another Doctor was called in and my baby girl finally made her appearance. The moment of holding her for the first time is something I will never forget and would love to go back and experience again. I would definitely change the doctor that was on call, but even in all the craziness about the day, it was the best day of my life.

2)If you could be any celebrity or well-known person, show us who you would be?

3)If you won the lottery, tell us would take the lump sum or take the money overtime, would you continue working or quit right away, would you reveal who you are, and what are some of the first things you would spend with your money?

I would say over time, but I have a feeling the husband would say the lump sum. I don't work so my life would not change much, but I seriously doubt my husband would quit working. That is just not in his blood. I do however think he may quit his current job to start the business he has been dreaming of. As for revealing who we were I seriously doubt it. I would have family coming out of the wood work if you know what I mean ;)
I would buy a new house for our family and depending on the amount we won, we would probably buy a house or two for our loved ones :)

4. If you could live anywhere, show us where it would be and tell us why.

We have been dreaming of a farm house for quite some time and are semi on the look. This house is just gorgeous to me. Lots of land and a horse for little miss. Oh yea, don't forget a nice big pool for her mommy :)

5. If you could have one magic power, what would be and what would you do with it?

Most likely I would choose to have the ability to be invisible. Creepy yes, but it could really come in handy :)

This made me laugh. This is exactly what happens when I try to photograph my daughter. The idea looks so good in my head :)

Miracle Medicine

Do you ever have one of those days where you wake up with a to do list a mile long, only to find your nose is stopped up, head is congested, you got toothpaste on your shirt, and your child and dog seem to be in a very destructive mood, all before 9 a.m?

That was my morning this morning if you could not tell. My very least thing in the world is a stuffy nose. I literally feel like I am going to suffocate to death. (Maybe I am a bit of a drama queen :) ) It just is an awful feeling.

My husband recently bought some Zicam after a co-worker had recommend it. He has raved about since he bought it. I am a very big baby when it comes to medicine, especially the kind that involves me squirting liquid up my nose. It just does not sound to exciting to me. This morning I thought I would give it a try since I was miserable and it was not an option to pull the covers back over my head.

Let me tell you.... this stuff is AMAZING! Within 5 minutes I could breath and I am still going strong.  It seriously has to be the best invention EVER.

So seriously, if your nose is the least bit stuffy, give Zicam a go. I personally guarantee you will NEVER use anything else.

Happy birthday to Mr!

Today is my husbands birthday. It is so hard to believe that I have spent 7 birthdays with him.

I honestly could not have asked for a better man to share my life with. I know that sounds so cliche, but it is so very true. Sure, we drive each others nuts sometimes, but it is all so worth it.

He has given me so much. He blessed me with the gift of our beautiful daughter. He has been an awesome daddy to her. She is one lucky little girl. He lights up when Little Miss walks into the room and they are just so cute together. I am so happy they have the relationship that they do.

We had a really windy day last week and he searched every store in town to find Little Miss a kite.
It is things like that, that make him so great.

He has given me the opportunity to be able to stay home with her and raise her. He works so hard for us to be able to do that. I could never repay him for that gift.

So happy birthday my love! Hope your day is everything you wish it could be.

(This photo is almost a year old, but we are slackers and have not got it updated!)

Wordless Wednesday: movie night

Little Miss is really developing a personality. We have been have so much fun together lately. Her imagination is really starting to soar and I just love watching her play.

A few nights ago my husband was working late and Little Miss and I had the house to ourselves. We spent the night playing babies, reading books, dancing, and taking silly pictures. I have some pictures from that night that I just can not get enough of. This is one of my very favorites.

She is so goofy. After we wore ourselves out I decided to treat her to popcorn, juice, and a movie. She is on a barney kick so that is what we chose. (Thank you Netflix) Here she is enjoying herself:

Such a spoiled girl. It is nights like this that I will cherish. I want to continue making sure she has memories like this to cherish.

And she is back..

As summer is coming to a close, so is so of the craziness that it held. I have been missing from the blog world for quite sometimes due to a number of things this summer. We have been taking a lot of family time away from our gadgets. We recently bought a travel trailer (for a heck of a bargain!) and we have been enjoying our free time camping. Little Miss is in LOVE with being outdoors so this is the perfect activity for her.

Also, my mother had a little spell this summer that put her in the hospital for a few weeks and resulted with her having to move into my grandparents house.

All in all we have had a really good time, but I am ready to get back to blogging and look forward to sharing some of our crazy stories from the summer in some future post. Right now I will leave you with some pictures from the summer. Little Miss has grown like a WEED. She will be 1 in 5 DAYS! I still can not believe it. Well here you go:

(fun at the fair)

                                                              (swimming with the cousin)
                                                                  (Playing in the Sand)

Wordless(ish) Wednesday: Mommy

Being a mommy has changed me so much. The change has been for the better and I wouldn't have it any other way. Since becoming a mom I have learned that:
1) My heart is MUCH bigger than I ever thought.
2) One little smile can bring tears to your eyes and make you smile with joy at the same time.
3) Sleep is overrated.
4) There is always something to worry about.
5) Crawling around like a lion on the floor is so much more fun than going out.
6) Pushing the shopping cart through Wal-Mart making car noises is FUN! who cares what everyone staring at you thinks!
7) Boo boos hurt Mommy's just as bad, if not worse, than the little ones.
8) Dressing a baby in white is not smart. even white socks attract EVERYTHING!
9) My patience are so much bigger than I ever imagined. Only one little girl could yank my hair and scratch my face and manage to make me laugh through the whole thing.
10) The house will NEVER be clean again. When I put the toys away, they are spread out again in 2 mins tops! That's OK, I would chose toys on my floor any day.

Disney Princess Tent from Bright and Fun Toys

Ever since Little Miss learned to crawl, she loves to crawl through and under things. She goes in between the rails of the kitchen chairs, under recliners, anything that requires her to crawl through she is all about. At her first story time at the library, they had a tunnel and she LOVED it. I began searching for a good quality tunnel and finally decided on the Disney Princess Adventure Hut from Bright and Fun Toys.

I was really excited to set it up and see what her reaction would be.

The tent and tunnel are of GREAT quality for a little one. It is a fabric material and does not rip like the plastic tents. Little Miss has tromped her way all through it may times now and it is still standing very sturdy.

This product has provided Little Miss, myself, and my husband hours of entertainment. It folds very easy for easy storage and travel. We have taken this to the grandparents house with us a few times and I love how easy it is to transport. This is definitely a toy that we will have around for a while. The box says the tent is recommended for ages 3 and up, but with the material it is made of it is great for any little one.

Bright And Fun Toys has many tents and tunnels to choose from. They also have a great variety of other toys, from Inflatable Bouncers, to Pool toys.
The great thing about Bright and Fun Toys is they offer free shipping to the lower 48 states on ALL items. Visit them at www.brightandfuntoys.com or contact them toll free at (855)-423-8697.

ALSO now through May of 2013 if you use the coupon code mama15 you will receive a special discount :)

This was not a paid post and my honest opinions were used. The opinions are solely my own.  Thank you to the company and/or pr agency who supplied the product for review

Wordless(ish) Wednesday: Here we go again

I have been a BAD BAD blogger. I have not posted in a week. I blame this on lack of sleep and lack of total motivation. I seriously feel like a zombie after i get everything I need to get done during the day done.

Little Miss has been up all night for the past week. I feel like a have a little insomniac on my hands :) She just can not seem to get comfortable and nothing I do seems to help.

Today after her nap she spiked a fever of 102.8. her top gums are REALLY swollen. I feel so bad for her. I gave her Tylenol and teething tablets and it seemed to help a bit but all she wants to do is cuddle. I love when she is so cuddly, but I hate the fact that she is in pain. Any suggestions?

Here she is cuddling me and her duck outside. It was the only thing that made her happy.

Wordless Wednesday : Rest!

This is my sweet baby resting and watching one of her favorite shows, Go Diego Go. She loves Diego but has no interest in Dora, it is strange. She also loves Sesame Street. It is so cute to hear her squeal at the TV.

Her sleep schedule is getting back to normally finally. I really hope I'm not jinxing it by writing this but I pray for her sake and mine too that it continues. The past week was hard on both of us, so this is a nice change.

Meet Me On Monday :)

1. I wish _________
that time would slow down! My little baby is growing quickly and pretty soon will be a toddler. It seems like yesterday my water broke and I was at the hospital. I love every minute I have with her and it just seems like every morning when I wake up she just looks bigger, and she seems to learn something new everyday as well. I love her so much.
2. If you could witness any event past, present or future, what would it be?
I would want to witness the birth of my little one from the side lines. As horrific as the labor was, I want to see my husbands face when she was born. I know he was full of emotion, but with my emotions and pain I did not get to experience his face when she was born.
3. Do you like to cook?

I do enjoy cooking, but not always. There are some meals that I really love to make, but others I would rather snap and have it on the plates. It all depends on my mood. On the days I don't feel like cooking, the crock pot is my best friend.

4. What do you like to do to get exercise?
I LOVE LOVE bike rides with my little family. I could spend the entire day out bike riding.

5. How tidy are you?
I am not the tidiest of people. My car usually speaks volumes on that. :)

Wordless Wednesday: Standing

Little Miss is a little monster. Her favorite thing to do now is pull up on things and let go and see how long she can stand by herself. She is getting better each day and now can stand for about a minute without losing balance. I see walking in our very near future......

Teeth!

My baby has been having a rough time with teething. She does pretty well during the day, but we have been having A LOT of night waking. I feel like a walking zombie, and have for the past few weeks. I feel so bad for her when she wakes up in pain and try my best to comfort her the best I can. We have done Hyland's teething tablets and they seem to help her get her naps in during the day but do not do much at night. I am one of those moms who HATE to medicate unless absolutely necessary. I feel like its not fair to her tiny body, so we have only gone the Tylenol route once or twice.

She finally has the two bottom teeth in pretty far, and it is the cutest thing. It is so hard to get used to. It makes her look so big and makes this mommy a little sad.

She loves the tooth brush and I am trying my best to make this part of our nightly routine. Neither my husband or myself have great teeth so this is very important for little miss.

Are there any other remedies that you have tried and that have actually helped your little ones with teething?

Aloha Friday

It has been a while since I linked up to Aloha Friday so I am getting back in the game. :)

My question for everyone is:

What is your favorite family pastime?

Thankful Thursday

This Thursday I am thankful for:

1) Tires! I had a flat a few weeks ago and have been driving around with the spare. I was hoping that nothing went wrong with any of the others before I could get them all replace. They were BALD! Finally Tuesday my wonderful husband took them and got 4 new tires put of. It is a load off my shoulders.

2) Once again I am just grateful for what a wonderful husband I have. He does anything I need and is a wonderful daddy. I know Little Miss will always be able to count on him when she needs something, just as I can.

3) Not having cable anymore. This seems weird because we always seemed to have the TV on, but now we are enjoying a lot more wholesome family movies. We have been adding movies to Little Miss's collection and have been enjoying things like The Lion King. The husband had never seen it and always made fun of me for saying how good he was, but he enjoyed it. We have been using Red Box a lot as well, and love the connivance of it. We also subscribe to NetFlix because their selection of children's programing is GREAT! The TV has been off the majority of the day now and we usually only turn it on during our resting bottle time, and after dinner we watch something as a family.
